Substance Abuse Counselor

STAR Council is looking for a caring and dedicated full time credentialed counselor to begin immediately. Join our team in our Cleburne location providing adult outpatient services. Applicants must be a Texas Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Professional Counselor Intern with verifiable substance abuse treatment experience.

Director of Prevention Services

Supervises and directs activities of the prevention programs in all prevention service locations in coordination with the entire organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.

Community Coalition Coordinator

The purpose of the Community Coalition Partnership is to mobilize the community to implement evidence-based environmental strategies with a primary focus to change policies and influence social norms related to substance use and misuse. Community Coalition Partnerships (CCPs) will address the State’s four prevention priorities: underage alcohol use, tobacco and nicotine products, marijuana and other cannabinoids, and prescription drug misuse. Counties covered are Erath and Johnson.

Prevention Specialist

Perform responsible alcohol, tobacco, and other drug education, information, individual and group facilitation, including planning, organizing, directing and implementing programs.
