Treatment Billing Specialist

Purpose/Function of Position: 

Assisting the Treatment program in processing potential new clients. To process treatment billing and ensure that billing requirements are met as well as to ensure that deadlines and billing procedures are executed in a timely fashion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Referral processing for potential new clients.

  • Conduct daily progress note audit.

  • Verification and billing of Medicaid / Medicaid Managed Care / Private Insurance. 

  • Resolving unpaid billing claims with the insurance provider. 

  • Update daily Client Services reports.

  • Submit the Daily Provider Capacity Reports.

  • Establish and maintain files, photocopy, send faxes and correlate material as required.

  • Maintain ample supply of new client Charts. 

  • Assist with selected accounting duties that are particular to Treatment. 

  • Billing/payment reconciliations with ability to resolve discrepancies. 

  • All other duties as assigned.​

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Education and/or Experience: Minimum High School Graduate; Medical billing experience is preferred, but not required. 

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, and governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, and professional correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from referrals sources, clients, and the public.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Email/Web Internet software Internet software; Excel Spreadsheets and Microsoft Word Processing.

Additional Details:

  • Salary Range: $15-$18 hourly

  • Job Type: Full-Time, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

  • Location: Stephenville, TX

  • Background Check and Drug Screen Required.
